The Boya BY-WM5 Wireless Mircophone is a high performance Wireless microphone

  The Boya BY-WM5 Wireless Mircophone is a high performance Wireless microphone suitable for DSLR cameras, camcorders and audio recorders. A cheap alternative to the Senheisser G3 Wireless Systems, the 2.4GHz Boya BY-WM5 Wireless Mircophone with GFSK system is able to capture audio with strong anti-interference signals. Together with the option of a low-cut filter, you can record conversations clearly, and adjust the volume through dedicated volume. The Boya BY-WM5 is able to transmit signals within a range of 50m (164 ft.) And has a battery life of approximately 3.5 hours.

  The actual range of work is about 50 meters, in the video, the link to which I will give below, there was nothing to measure, therefore, I just figured "by eye," maybe a little more.

  The quality of the microphone capsule corresponds to the price, but, at least, is not worse than what it delivered, because it was hoping to immediately solder another, but so far left the one that came in the kit. There is a cut-off mode for bass to work in windy weather. It takes a microphone quite widely, extraneous noises are present, however, this is plus, there is no sound when the head turns, and you can throw it on a podium on some kind of meeting.

  The working range is 2.4 GHz with all that follows. I generally understand that this is a Wi Fi pair. I have about 15 neighbor routers in my apartment and once, the connection in the buttonhole did not appear from the first inclusion. More such was not, but "ticked off". Power - 5 megawatts, absolutely no, but allows not to be soared with GIE. It's cool, but at a great distance it's important the position of the transmitter and receiver housings in relation to each other (there is in the video). Structurally (which, by the way, no one wrote), there is a delay in the sound of the loop coming from the microphone (there is in the video). During the recording of sync, by eye, almost not noticeable, but the "echo" at first strained.

  The receiver is attached to the standard "shoe" by a "heel"

  or a camera, the strength of this fastening will show the time. The transmitter has a large clip, like everyone else. The clothespin is metal, allows you to outweigh the buttonhole on different sides (until tight).

  The plastic from which the shells are made is pleasantly rough to the touch and does not produce the impression of being very cheap.

  Accumulators (batteries) formfactor AAA (small), GP 1000 mph work for several hours, more precisely did not check, maybe longer.

  The cord for connecting to the camera - mini Jack, standard, the XLR cord for my NX3 took about 15 minutes;

  then I seal it up under the small Jack for Lumix GH2, let it be. In the kit there are 2 "ear", which will be nice for the photographers, the receiver has its own output for headphones, which will allow controlling the sound, at least, at the stage of the radio channel. By the way, this output can be used for connecting to the camera, there is a volume control. In general, the output signal level is quite large, I, on the NX3 had to put on XLR1 -12db.

  In general, the miracle did not happen and "for a penny of coins" did not buy. However, despite all the shortcomings, this device is quite suitable for operators of "state employees" who want to get rid of wires once and for all.

  Here is the promised video file, made, however, in a hurry by Embarrassed, where all the "features" of this microphone are visible / audible.
